You're getting there, pacing was a bit slow and i don't want to nitpick but the hit sprite you used came from SNK right?
That's not really the problem, i think you could've used different sprites for hitting depending of the incoming attack but nevertheless you did good work
I didn't want it to be too fast pace, then you wouldn't be able to see anything. You also have to think about the frames each sprite will contain. Also does it matter where the hit sprite come from?

Game was working fine from launch...
now i can't play it at all i just get ooops something went wrong
we licensed the game...
I rely like this kind of game, too bad we don't see them anymore.
The UI in edit mode is a bit clunky but it's a good idea, no intense game speed so don't display it.
And too bad you only used one track, i'm pretty sure you'll have a lot of choices in the ng portal
